Welcome to Bonny Downs Baptist Church!
Please come along to Bonny Downs Baptist Church this Saturday 1 May from 2-5 pm to talk about the vision for the building redevelopment. You can meet the architects, and see what we have in mind for the future. And you can enjoy a collection of photos and memories of the building from the past decades. If you can't make Saturday, drop in on Tuesday evening, 4 May, from 7-8.30 to look at the plans and photos.

Although we are not physically gathering on Sundays at the moment due to Covid, we are still church!
Please see below for the different ways that we as a Church Community have been connecting
On Sundays we gather in the garden (entrance via Flanders and Wellington Rd) for live worship, prayer, a short reflection and communion. Come rain or shine, the garden is open from 10:15am-111:45 every Sunday and you are very welcome to join us... All ages meet together but there are craft tables for children... well behaved dogs on a lead are also welcome!

Prayer Walks in 2's
Lockdown encourages us to meet with one other person in a park to get fresh air and stay connected. Don't wait to be invited. Be the person to reach out to someone and offer an hour walking in the park to catch up and support one another.
And while you meet and walk, could you be the person to offer to pray - quietly or aloud?
Or suggest you spend at least some of the time together saying what beautiful things are still present in the world - notice all the goodness around and say it aloud.
Company, gratitude and fresh air are the simple but most effective ways to help each other keep depression at bay.
If you feel this would help you, be the person to act...get your diary and phone out now and invite a friend, someone else working from home, a neighbour, another home schooling parent...and fix a time to do this together this week
Bonny Downs Church
Please see below for information on Bonny Downs Church and details of our services which will recommence once Government guidelines allow us too
Bonny Downs is a beautifully diverse family of people all journeying together to grow in our relationship with God. Our church has been worshipping and serving our neighbours in the East Ham South community for more than a century. If you are interested in exploring faith then please come and check us out. Catch up with our latest news on our Facebook page
Bonny Downs is an officially inclusive Church and is part of the Inclusive Church which is a network of churches, groups and individuals uniting together around a shared vision:
"We believe in inclusive Church - church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ."
Bonny Downs Baptist Church is also a registered Charity, Charity number 1136987 and is affiliated with the London Baptist Association. Our church is led by Dave & Sally Mann and we are part of a network of 3 sister congregations in the London Borough of Newham:
Bonny Downs Baptist Church meets in The Well Community Centre from 10.30am – 12.00pm every Sunday morning.
Bonny Downs Portuguese Speaking Fellowship, led by Olga & Santos, meets from 1-3pm in Bonny Downs Church Hall every Sunday afternoon.
Royal Docks Community Church meets from 5.30 – 7.00pm every Sunday in Britannia Village Hall, West Silvertown. (See https://www.royaldockschurche16.com for more info about the Royal Docks congregation.)
Bonny Downs don't take up a money offering collection during our services, however - if you would like to give towards the work of the church, one off or regular donations can be given on link above through give.net.
Thank you for your generosity!
