Bonny Downs Church is proud to be part of Red Letter Christians UK, finding ways to live out the words of Jesus (often printed in red in Bibles) www.redletterchristians.org.uk

 

Focusing on Jesus and justice, Red Letter Christians mobilises people to live out Jesus’ counter-cultural teachings.Shane Claibourne and Tony Campolo instigated this movement and visited our sister congregation in the Royal Docks in May 2018 (see pics below) and it was there that the idea to bring Red Letter Christians to the UK began.

Bonny Downs Church were part of launching Red Letter Christians UK in our community on 15 June 2019 - including  a prophetic act ‘beating swords into ploughshares’ with people affected by knife crime and making a beautiful sculpture for our community garden.  Our local mayor, MP and Police Commissioner joined us (see pictures below)
